Telephone Fraud Occurring Locally
If you receive an unsolicited call from someone telling you your computer has a virus and that you must follow the steps they provide to avoid the problem, be extremely cautious. DO NOT give the caller access to your computer.
Note: This person may claim to be from Microsoft or another well-known computer company.
And remember: NEVER give unsolicited callers your credit or debit card information, your bank account information, or any other personal details.
